It has been a long time in the pipe-line but finally 3View have announced that they will release their new 3View Freeview PVR - a Freeview HD Recorder. The long-awaited 3view Freeview HD PVR (in case you are unsure PVR stands for "Personal Video Recorder") can now be pre-ordered from a selection of online retailers. 3View have said that the first orders for the 3View Freeview PVR will be delivery in the latter half of May 2010, even tho it was originally thought the delivery date would be in March 2010.
3View were one of the first companies to release a Freeview HD Receiver so it is hoped that the 3View PVR Freeview HD Recorder will follow suite and take the Freeview HD Recorder market by storm - It is possible to pre-order for £299 directly from the 3view website but watch this space as we will be bringing you the latest price comparison in the next few days.
The 3view PVR Freeview HD Recorder works in a similar way to other Freeview HD Recorders currently on the market. The 3View PVR is capeable of receiving, pauseing and recording both standard and also high-definiton (HD) Freeview channels. The 3View PVR has two tuners which allows you to watch one channel while recording another at the same time. This twin tuner also allows you to watch recorded content while recording a live TV channel at the same time. Lastly it allows you to record two live TV channels at the same time.
The 3View Freeview PVR comes internet-ready and by simply connecting it up to your broadband via a ethernet cable, viewers will be able to watch several internet TV streaming channels such as the popular Sky Player and YouTube. Unlike a lot fo other Freeview HD Recorders, the 3View PVR will allow viewers to access Facebook and Twitter through built-in widgets.
The 3View PVR is well equipped in the features department too.. the PVR Freeview HD Recorder is DLNA-enabled, unlike it competitors it has two USB ports (most have just 1 USB Port) and has a huge 500GB in-built hard drive for recording.
